The Moroccan Sahrawi Hands Association in Finland participated in the World Village Festival in Helsinki, showcasing Moroccan Sahrawi culture and promoting diversity and intercultural dialogue.

Field briefing

The World Village Festival “Maailma Kylässä,” held annually in Helsinki during May, is considered one of Finland’s most important cultural and humanitarian events. The festival brings together people and cultures from around the world in an open space dedicated to dialogue, diversity, and cultural exchange. The Moroccan Sahrawi Hands Association in Finland proudly participated in this international event by presenting authentic Moroccan Sahrawi heritage and culture, highlighting Moroccan traditions and values of openness, coexistence, and mutual respect. This participation also provided an opportunity to strengthen the presence of the Moroccan community in Finland and promote cultural connections between Morocco and Finland, while introducing visitors to the association’s cultural and social activities within Finnish society. The association extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this participation and to all visitors who showed interest and appreciation for Moroccan culture.

The operating model is intentionally transparent: define the problem, align trusted partners, execute with trained volunteers, then publish a clear record of outcomes, constraints and next commitments.
